It almost seems like you're playing in a cartoon setting; the textures are unrealistic and there are some really choppy parts to the map. Again, interesting idea but needs more sculpting.
| psychochild 10-10-2004 09:40 PM MDT | Rating: 5 | | Good map, but just too damn big for it's own damn good! If our game of UT could go past 16 players, you could put twice that on this map, and it take you 15 min. just to find one bot to kill! Other than that the map is awesome with the exception of choppy graphics, good idea, and excellent tought! Great Work!
| Master roshi 10-10-2004 09:58 PM MDT | Rating: 5 | | Nice map so far. Just a few things wrong.
1 - fix the areas where it effects your frame rate. 2 - Buildings need realistic layout. The windows you are suposed to be able to look out are over your head. 3 - detail. needs alot more detail. 4 - Better textures. Look for some on the internet. Or take the from other games that have a airport. Like deusex. 5 - better sniper locations. i would like to be able to hide and snipe. 6 - Inside the airplanes. They need to look more like the inside of a 747 and not a sewer pipe. 7 - your elevators. They should be able to come up when a player wants to get down. Some game mods you don't have the translocator. All it takes is a trigger.
| AMLPChimaira 10-30-2004 02:43 PM MDT | Rating: 10 | | AMAZING map, excellent fun to play. It is not designed to be a bot map. It is a sniper map only for online play and it is one of the best there is :). Excellent fun to play, a triumph, just as all other BBST maps are.

Good layout with lots of spawn points spread around well, though the bots tended to spawn in a rather predictable fashion. Kill a bot and it frequently respawned near where it was previously.
I am surprised at some of Master roshi's complaints. I didn't have a problem with framerates no matter what part of the map I played in. (Perhaps Master roshi's PC could use a video card upgrade!) I think that the buildings were fairly realistic and laid out well with textures about average for a UT map. As for getting around in the map, it's obvious that you need to use translocators to get to some good sniper places, so why use a UT mod that doesn't allow using translocators when playing this map? Of course, if Radius wanted to spend time adding teleporters, translocators might not be needed. But why make the effort, if you can get around using a combination of translocators and the elevators?
One feature of the map that I think is really cool is to hop in the helicopter and ride across the map to get to a really good sniper position on the helipad on top of one of the buildings! Plus, translocating can take you from there to other good sniper spots high above ground.
Overall, this map is a good effort from Radius. While this map might not be the best one to play offline against bots, it should be a blast played online! I hope he does more like this one!
| asclotharfuffzyn 03-14-2005 05:02 PM MST | | My god, Radius, you are everywhere, and still no shame? How dare you submit maps with buildings you did not even made yourself, and then caling me 'a child' when I make a remark.
