Once I got the feel for this map I liked it. I admit I lost the one node by going up on the roof top to fast and then saw it way down there, so I jumped OUCH that was a long way down. Good placement of goodies and the jump pads and teleports were so cool. Might be to many Raptors be hey it's a big map.
This would be a good DM-Map also.

I do love urban maps. . . This map is definatly fun to play on. I like how you can go in some of the buildings (sort of) although some of the node setups are kind of bizarre (the ones other than the defult one) The graphics didn't really blow me away, but it's still a worthy map. (BTW, raptors are fun in this setting because you can weave in and out of the buildings to dodge the avril)

Very nice map. Recommended download.

for some reason I have huge performance probs in this map.. I have a FPS of 0-1, with music skipping and even the mouse cursor skipping in the Esc menu.. no probs with other maps, however. I got an Athlon XP at 2100 mhz with 1 gig of ram, that's plenty.. yet this map makes UT2k4 draw 600 megs of ram (according to task manager).

HIGHLY UNOPTIMIZED! HAD AN FPS OF 5 EVERYWHERE!
PLEASE UPDATE THIS MAP AND USE ANTIPORTALS

Whoa, the author must have a monster pc if he can run this :S I rarely need to substract points for performance issues, but this map's performance is so poor that it ruins the gameplay. And that's a pity, cuz it looks well and is fun to play too. The only drawback i found is botplay. I dont think the bots know how to get to the wing nodes. Neither did i btw, but i suppose a raptor will do. I just didnt bother with them cuz they didnt link to any other nodes so dont really have a strategical value. Anyway, it's a nice map, if the framerate doubles...
(i suppose people will post useless comments like "buy a better pc", so i'll post my specs here: amd athlon 2600+, 1Gb ram, GF4 Ti4200 128Mb. if you have less then this, dont try this map :()

Yeah, agree with everyone about the peformance issues and I hope that the author does release an optimized version. However, I have a mid to high-range PC (3GHz, 512 DDR RAM, GF MX 440) and it isn't as bad as people are making it sound. Sure it is really slow at the start but after a few minutes it warms up and becomes playable with only slight stuttering. So I urge everyone to download and at least have a go :)

I realy like that level. It is visually interesting, and the layout seem to give alot of fun. It goes so slow, but there are not too many complex static meshes .. Hmm wonder .. hmm.. opening the Ued... opening the map... it opened.. yeeaaaaaaaah!!! performancer problem factor-
1)there are no Antiportals anywhere!! 2)the author uses alot of tooo complex blocking volumes for stairs.. 3)the terrain is too smooth 4)the terrain is everywhere, even under buildings, and behind the visible places.
thats a whole picture, that explains why it runs like a three legged dog!
Dear author, don't you know, that the blocking volumes work the same as BSP brush collision (collision per face)!? Why the hell you use the same blocking volumes for stairs (and bunker shields) as the stairs themeself!? meaning, you loose some FPS with the stairs statmesh + loose even more fps with the stair blocker(and bunker shields). thats alot Worse than using BSP brush alone! Replace the stair block volumes with ramp block. who the hell observing the accurate scientific collision on stairs and the bunker shields?
Also, pls learn how to lower the terrain tesselation , and how to remove the terrain polys in places, where they are not visible (eg. under buildings.)
The buildings have an ideal shape of a rectangle, so Place the antiportal walls in them.- this will increase the performance probably twice!
sorry 5 = 9 or 10 for the idea and layout and visuals. -4 or -5 for awfull performance. try to do what I suggested , and release version ]2[. I realy hope that you remake it, because this map seem to be a real fun, just need optimization.

It is a shame the map is so unoptimized, because it looks fantastic.

I've played this a few times now and can rarely get more than 30-40 fps. A real shame cause I like urban maps. I hope the author will take note of all these comments and sort the problems out. It sure looks good and well worth an update.

Even though i get bad frame rates, i love this map, its now in my top 10 favorite user made maps, i really love the spots where the vehicles are spawned GOOD JOB! it really gave me the feeling that this city was under siege, its a very good map for raptors :) the only thing that keeps me from giving it a 10 is the low frame rate i get. the link system seems a bit weird at first but you get use to it and now i think its pretty good, i love the urban feel i get this is just a very good map, keep up the good work!

Well the Map is good, has a good layout and a good idea but the frame rate kills! Should be worked on, you'd get a better a better rating if it would work on not only the high end machines but also on machines that aren't so fast.

Why make a map? Just put up a series of cute pictures and ask people to imagine the game. The 3 rating is for the cuteness not the game of course.

Kinda slow. Cool elevated nodes on the tops of the buildings.

If anyone would actually look in the map, there are already included antiportals in the map. Everysingle building has anitportals carefully placed inside, the thing that lags the map the most is its sheer size and detail factor. Sure it could use "optimization" or whatnot, but you can't make a highly detailed map this size run silky smooth.
