I think I can sum up this map in three words:
*Fast *Furious *Simplistic
It gets the job done. If you play with the recommending 4-player setup, you’ll see plenty of action. The map has a centralized slime room with catwalks that add a dynamic to the map; namely, a heightened challenge to sustain from falling into the slime pit. Some custom music is zipped up in the download, which goes along with the furious pace. Some z-axis is there and hallways girder the perimeter of the slime room.
The bots do well, and the place looks okay. There just isn’t much to say about the map one way or the other since there isn’t much to it. I did notice that there seems to be too many health vials setting around so you may need to bump up your difficulty setting. The lighting was done well, so the atmosphere is there. I think I would have aligned the textures differently in the sloping hallways, but that’s about it.
If you like hard-driving action, with a few players, where you are constantly moving and blasting, this might be a good map to check out. Again, though, expect to dominate the map unless you adjust your bot settings. |

| ThaKillaTwinz 04-07-2004 10:54 PM MDT | | Thankx for the review (twas me who made this map). What a pleasant surprise, seeing as i didn't spend as much time on this one as i did some of my other ones. Gimme some comments pplz, i know yall are downloadin' it! I'll be eternally grateful! Once again thankx!
Edit: I spelled it "HRADCORE" intentionally, because DM-Hardcore is kinda boring, plus it's probably taken, and since it's misspelled it gets more attention.

| hype 04-08-2004 09:31 AM MDT | Rating: 7 | | Nice map. Simple design makes for effective gameplay. I would say suitable for up to 4 players but it makes a great 1-on-1 level. I haven't tried with bots so can't comment on how they play but definately good fun for multiplaying.
| Shadowlurker 04-11-2004 06:03 PM MDT | Rating: 3 | | It's hardcore, in a bad way.
And dear lord, please think about naming your maps. Jesus, "Hradcore" sounds so shit it makes me want to tear my eyes out and tell them to stop reading the name for fear it'll make me start spelling wrong. Make sure the name isn't ghey, because the first thing anyone'll know about your map is the name and if it's "DM-Lovelybigtubesofspam" then it's not going to be recieved well.
(Then again, it's a handy warning sign. A map with a name like that is going to suck)
