| DiFool 02-16-2004 12:08 PM MST | Rating: 7 | | Warning for those who dislike big maps and long walks: this is a big map with long walks between bases. :-) Not too bad in the execution: there's a sniper tower, but you can avoid that by taking a certain route. There are 3 paths in and out-short is down the middle of course. Oddly the bots take the other two (long) side paths one way only, from near their respective bases to where they exit near the bridges on the other side of the map, never going the other way-strange.

P.S. A review would be very nice!

The map plays very well, there are two symmetrical bases on either side of a winding canyon with tunnels and bridges along the sides. Some bots take up good defensive positions behind boxes and pillars almost immediately and the rest head through the multiple routes to the enemy base. In the central tunnel between the two bases there is a keg and shield belt, whichever team gets these seems to push the other back into their own canyon, which makes for an interesting flow of battle. The architecture is of average-high quality by todays standards and provides good spots for cover if defending. The map is built solidly and has a nice theme to it, apart from the initial download of UTtech4.utx there was no down side to it. A good map for large battles (14+).

You might not have it, but author cannot and should not include it , because it will be equal to stealing. (why don't you ask him to include the whole game in the zip?) On other hand, I might be wrong so don't take it personal. (at least you can resave the map in UEd without those textures) [Admin: I believe UTtech1-3 are default with UT]
