When I closed out UT, it asked me if I wanted to Quit. There was only an option for Yes and No. For this particular map, there should have been an option for: Get me the Hell out of here!!

I imagine that this is either a newbie extraordinaire, or a sick joke. What are you supposed to do? I went into Fly mode just to take the screenshots. I’m not even sure if you can get out of your own camp. (Maybe with an impact hammer jump you can) Even if you did, why would you want to? The bots were just standing around wondering where the lighting was coming from, and complaining because there wasn’t any music to hum along to. No start-up screenshot, no anything good.

For the Author: Uhhh, I understand that you’re probably just learning and that your friends are super impressed that you made a map, but I could fall over my keyboard in a drunken stupor and do a better job than this. I’d give you some useful advice, but I’m not even sure if you’re trying. It’s like: where would I begin? You get a half point because the map loaded up; that’s about as far as I’m willing to go.

constructive advice:

always include a screenshot, maps without screenshots 90% of the time dont get downloaded, dont get rated dont get commented etc...

This map is very average, and have you noticed, that you can't get out of the enemy base without the help from the ImpactHammer? Also the bots are stupid(very).

lol.. hey, yeah i noticed these problems ^_^

finally my map got added. it took about a week.

Anyway how would I re-issue this map? I know what I gotta change, those holes!! arghh.. and yeah the bots are dumb. I pathnoded them the whole way but they dont work.


PS : about my screenshot.. I DID include a screen shot but it doesnt come out for some reason? I have always had this problem. I selected the texture through the level properties actor. I saved it. It's there in unrealEd but it never shows up on map selection screen. Why?

PPS : If you call this average.. I don't know where the mapping world is going. At least say it sucks. By saying it's average, you're dissing all the other maps out there. lol.

You have to save your screenshot in the U Ed inside myLevel package. You create "myLevel" pack and then import the texture into it into the group such as Levelshots. So the thread is -:'' myLevel>levelshot>StaleMate001.''
did you go to Level Properties, and in the LevelInfo add this screeny??Make sure you have your level shot at 256dpi at 1"/1" (photoshop that).(In the past, I had the same problem=GROOAAR)
Bot pathing- I believe you placed pathnodes too far from each other.
+ DID you do the (build paths?), or BUILD ALL? That might be a problem as well.

I suggest you to open other levels and see how they are built(brushes, pathnodes, lighting, mortar spawners(ex:-AS Overlord). Fiddle around with them, just make sure you don't resave them on the original name.

Keep working on it, and it will end up a better place for a "No man's land".

Yea keep trying. If you whant me to path it just email there rominets@videotron.ca and whit a return adress. I hate to see people suffer over the pathing.
