It's pretty much 2 boats on opposite sides of the map. You have to hit a lot of jump pads to get around the map. Lightning gun is in the eagles nest, which provides a good view of the island. Bots work really well, but the only problem is that being in water hurts you, and one little bullet while you're in the air will send you spiraling into the water, so bots tend to drown a lot. Spawn points are on the deck of the ships and the goal in on the lower deck, which there's only one route to move around the map. Boat to top of hill to other boat. A few more path options and less water damage could improve this map, but this is one of the best I've played. It also has really good background music. It reminds me of K-galleon. Worth the download 100%.

| chankie 10-07-2003 10:59 AM MDT | Rating: 6 | | A straightforward map that runs well and is interesting thematically. I personally don't like the pirate-island theme, but many might, and it is different.
My bigger complaint is with gameplay. For me, there were too many jumping platforms involved and not enough direct routes. Moreover, the gameplay becomes extremely linear with esentially one short route between the goals. It would have been more enjoyable with other routes, preferably involving something other than jumping platforms.
In general, though, it's a fun, smooth map, and definitely worth a try.
