| horned demon 09-14-2003 01:19 AM MDT | Rating: 7 | | map has pretty good visuals, and it's really fast. mabe there could be a little more detail or a little more texture variety, but it's still pretty good as is.the only real beef i have with this map is the map info screen witch read's .........................................................................................................................&hf wtf any of this means ill never know, mabe the dude passed out while typing and laid his head on the keys(thats my theory anyway) gj aside from that

| SJAndrew 10-21-2003 01:44 AM MDT | Rating: 10 | | This is far and away the best 3rd party map I've ever played...and I've played a LOT (I have 191 loaded on my server).
In my opinion, the most important aspect of a map is flow, and no map flows better than this. Every area has many entrance and escape routes. It's also a very good map for people who think before fragging. You can always find somewhere to cut off your opponent if you think ahead.
The weapon and power-up placement is also perfect. The supershield only has one real (conventional) path to it, so it can be a chore to get...which is good. Also, the amp is in a high-traffic area which is good (the goodies should require some work).
There are also no railings or obstructions to get hung up on (like that ahem..."map"...Curse3).
This map also has good z-axis action and at least one very useful lift-jump.
Every time I play this map, I end up thinking "what a good game". There are no real spam-traps like the Asbestos or Oceanic Rocket Launcher pit. And, there are no real good camping spots either. This may be bad for some people, but I find it to be a benefit as no spam/camping lamers can excel here.
Also, I NEVER get lost on this map. Some 3rd party maps use too many of the same textures or design techniques making it difficult to get your bearings. This is not the case with this map.
As far as visuals, the maps is just fine. But, I don't like the Britney Spears type maps...I want substance. Not pretty vacuousness. This map is ALL substance with very good visuals. And, there are some good sound effects too (bird noises in the rafters).
NO SERVER IS COMPLETE WITHOUT THIS MAP!!!!
