This map will hold about 4-6 players comfortably, and is a solid effort. It’s not highly complicated; just a good battlefield to frag a few friends (or enemies) in. Like all maps, it’s not perfect, but I like it! A bonus pack is required to run the game; or at least some of the files in one of the packs. (Don’t remember which one, now.)
The bots work well, even in the water. The pathing was secure enough for them to traverse the entire map without tripping up. Little touches of eye candy are placed here and there, but not overly done so as to look gaudy and slow things down. The weapon placement is thought out and makes the game interesting. You have to keep checking the water for goodies, and I like this idea. You can’t hide out and run for the amp when you see it appear, instead, you have to constantly put yourself in danger to see if the good stuff is there.
The z-axis is limited, but some is there; enough to change your perspective now and then. The health may or may not be too much, depending on how many are playing, but it felt about right with a boatload of bots. Some nicely-placed sounds, palms, boulders, water, and a wooden bridge embody the ambiance and break up the monotony. It’s also small enough for a few friends to play online. It ran smoothly on my system, if you want to make comparisons. http://nalicity.beyondunreal.com/site_staff.php |

too many maps lately have way too much unneccessary details in them. it'd make a nice 2 on 2 map i think.
