Manticore 09-10-2004 02:29 AM MDT Rating: 3   Mr. Prophet has been looking for his first map. I haven't located it yet but I did find this...... I suppose this proves that even the best mappers start out somewhere, and I wonder if this was Bot_40's first effort. Considering that Bot is now a master of lighting and atmosphere, as well as good CTF (and other gametypes) this map lacks lighting and layout. Generally the construction is very boxy in the oldskool Doom fashion. Navigating the map is really just a run through some small rooms and tight corridors between the flagbases. The rating is for the clever use of triggered movers which really provide all the exctiement in the gameplay. Watch out for those crushing walls and disappearing floors. You'll be gibbed... I've said it before and I'll say it again here: NC is a treasure trove of old stuff and this is a case in point.
