Why the Shock Rifle wasn't there instead is a mystery, as the Pulse is of limited use in such a huge wide open arena (you'll be dead before you can use it). No sniper rifles tho (which is good I guess), and you do have two side passages with the occasional window or door. Bots seem to love to take a bath in the fountain (and will often do so with the flag). I think I've said enough...

Too much open space in the map for my liking (though some others may prefer this) and a limited choice of weaponary-Flak, Rocket, Machine, Shock and Pulse (In the fountain). Possibily not even enough.Very little health aside from some vials down the passageways at each side and the keg in the centre.
Not my favourite but maybe some others may give it a go. I'll go back to Project X2 for a wee bit longer. I like my CTF levels big or not in massive open spaces. Just me though!
Keep going with it though! :o)
Bubba, when I say they hang around the fountain, I meant they get stuck in it,just seem to hop about in it and not do much else. Think playing it online, folk will have more success. Not one for offline play. Thank God theres no Sniper Rifle in it-Head Shot, Head Shot, Head Shot! Oh, Ive not played Thorns. Will find it and give it a shot.

| Doc Kevorkian 07-24-2003 12:05 AM MDT | Rating: 7 | | Any map, whatever the layout–big and open or tight and twisty, can make for enjoyable fragging… if it's well designed and built. This map is certainly that. It's a map where flow and playability take precedence, without completely sacrificing style, something I appreciate and consider a hallmark of any good map. FTB is a Nali/Gothic themed great hall, a mostly open layout with just enough nooks and crannies to add balance and make things interesting (and to take an occasional breather from the frantic fragging going on in the center.: ) It's not perfect of course. Yes, the bots could be better pathed, and lag arises in spots (frame rate or poly count issue). But all in all it's well worth the download. Play it a few times, preferably against humans, to get real taste for its potential.
