I really enjoy Dog Town on UT and finally a conversion for UT2k3.
The map is a fantastic conversion of the original and plays really well.
The Bots handle the map as well as they did in the original.
I would say the main improvement is the better lighting (there were a lot of dark areas in the original.

If I had to pick a fault, the trains in the subway are a bit too frequent, not so much a fault, more a personal preference.

But on the whole I would definately recommend this map for anyone.

I give it 5, lol....

Glad you like it.
I wish I had the talent to make maps like this, but Im content at this point to just bring some "Cult Favorites" to 2k3...

As far as the trains go, they are trigger activated. Im thinking of doing v.2, so Ill set it to longer ratios. Maybe only one trigger every minute so you cant keep running the train back and forth?
Ty for the input!

First of all, great job! It's worth a 9.

It's a realy good conversion of the old UT-map i like so much. But, can it be that the playermodels in 2k3 are a little bit bigger than in the old UT?

Hi: Can you replace the handgun pickups with adrenaline? When the translocator is disabled I can't get the redeemer without speed and a shield jump, unless there's a secret to it I haven't figured out :-)

awsome map i think the train is just fine u can play with ur dodging skills on the train track (play chicken lol) but ya only flaw is the assault rifle. as for the redeemer thing i think its just fine the way it is cuz the trans is part of the game if u dont like the trans then u shouldnt be playing this map in 2k3 play it on quake or some other game like that where u just single jump to ur super weapon.

Transloc is an insipid item to put into DM game play. If ya can't learn to maneuver without it, you're just lazy.
Map is sweet though, nice conversion! Played with remote Strike weps hauling around with the shotgun is a nice way to vent after a long day commuting to the office. :)

Had this map for a while but haven't played it in ages. Good gameplay but the visual content is just ok for me. One to keep though....

Come to think of it I prefer the UT version (sorry)...

Not bad. Me and a friend of mine played the original Dog Town in UT alot with U4E...got some really weird light effects in the sky when shooting off the more exotic weapons in that mod. Anyway, I like big maps like these, a kind of city-style map. I wonder if a UT2k3/2k4 remake of DM-SniperTownDepot will appear...now that was an awesome UT city-style DM map.
