This map was made for instagib, no weapons or items.


Second version, fixed a few bot-problems (bots did not die when they fell,and the "congaline" problem) i also put in weapons and items.
Have fun kiddies... :)

PS. i still think it plays best with instagib...

dont make maps for instagib, put weapons and items in them. no map is better for instagib than it is for anything else. there will always be stupid people who will play such a map without instagib on, so humor them and put stuff in the map. instagib removes the pickups, so no one needs to make a map especially for instagib. i consider any such map with no pickups or pathing to be work by someone who is too lazy to go ot the trouble of placing pickups, thus labelling it an "instagib map."

It gets a 1 since its functional. I implore you to update with pickups. its not like theyll appear in insta.

Sorry for being so harsh, but thats part of the reason maps like CTF-ANDAction are crap and get crap reviews. any instagibber will give any and all maps with a couple playerstarts and flags a 10 saying "its great for instagib." well, w hat isn't great for instagib then?

-edit- thank you for considering everyone :) This map is nothing amazing visually, but it plays pretty decently insta or not. ill bump the score up to middle of the road since you came through unlike most :) The lighting needs work but thats the only thing thats really not so good.

I'm sorry to agree with Sir Tahngarth, wouldn't you be so kind to put the pickups in this map?
Anyway Sir Tahngarth said it all...
huh..oh... Yeah Shig is also right... the structure of the map and botpathing is good... actually i got a hard time to get the flag and to go back to mine...
and indeed you need to have a team work here - i had to order all my bots to get the enemy flag so i could have a chance.. must be a killer with other human players...
After considering what Shig said and playing it again, i had to change my rate score, in a way thanks Shig ;)

Alright, first things first. I really don't care if there are now weapons/health/powerups. The author wanted to make a map that played really well in instagib, and i think he delivered. If someone makes a dm map you don't bash it because it doesn't play ctf well. Same thing here. Review it for what it is.

Anyhow, I like a number of things that the author did here. I like how the flag carrier really has to rely on his teammates to get the flag home, as all paths are under heavy fire. I like how no matter where you go, there's a hole in the wall that the enemy can spot you through. The path that doubles back and has holed walls is neat, in that it gives defenders a second chance at busting your hide.

You really need your teammates, but there's a problem there. In botmatch, the bots tend to not die when they hit the ground way below the level. Most of the time they will, but not always. It's a little irratating.

This gets a 6 based on the assumption that it'd play very well with people. Once I get a chance to try it online or at a lan I'll come back and revise.

I play a lot of IG anymore, so I gave this a go. What
Shig said about the layout is true-but so is what he
said about the bots. The bots also get into a nice
little conga line at the back of the base (behind that
big wall on the roof) half the time (the ol' "Bot
Shuffle" thing). It's an okay map otherwise (I do
like the holes)

Good, you put items and weapons. Maybe it does play good in instagib, but some people prefer weapons and items.
