AWE: 0.5 Almost a score of 1 here. No real architecture here, just your basic geometry of cubes, cones, and cylinders. The fanciest brush-work here are a couple of defense spot shield things, just look in the lower left of the second screenie to see what I mean. And what's with that hollowed cylinder in the glass?
Lighting needs a lot of work. No real light sources outside, some lights do line the "bridge" across the map, but the light actors are at default settings. Colored lights are too saturated, and some on the verge of greening. The solar panels below have shadows. Beginners' lighting really.
Texturing is, you guessed it, aweful. Outside is dirt, yes, on a space station floating in space. The cone that's attached to the solar panels has a panel texture that gets cut off as the cone comes to a point. There are some dark textures that could use bright corners to fix. Plus other various mis-alignments.
BUILD: 1 No ambients or movers. Quite a few teleporters for each base, and they work fine. Outside has low gravity, which is zoned off well, and there are zonetags as well. Surprisingly, compared to the rest of the map, the skybox looks great. Makes me wonder if the author "borrowed" it from another map, but nothing was said about it in the readme.
CAST: 0.5 Bots get around the map well and can capture the flag on their own. Bot defense needs work. There are several defense points around, but they aren't much use as they don't have any distance view triggers. One bot was even standing at the upper most defense point with a flak cannon in his hands and a sniper rifle lying a few feet away. Path nodes are located in ridiculous amounts. 438 total for the whole map, which is beyond overkill. Note to mappers: you don't need path nodes covering every inch of the map!
Item placement is sparse, especially weapons, at least with 8 players per team. The sniper rifle is in multiple locations, and I found myself with it a lot. Plenty of health in the bases, but not much outside. Flow is pretty simple, you've got a pic of 2 two bridges to cross to the opposing base.

Liked the sniperpoint room.Map bit jumpy though (too many rocks in space I think)? Will look for it on server(s) in couple of dayz.

It was fun to play in this map... Kinda easy... but fun anyway... Music is kinda boring... Maps of this quality shouldnt have custom musics (in my opinion)
| Homeslice 11-05-2003 09:11 AM MST | Rating: 4 | | It's not the best space map I've seen, that's for sure. Lighting isn't very effective in the buildings, architecture could be better, and yes, there could've been sounds. I'm not sure the custom track here fits the space-like atmosphere either.

I also have CTF-Face-KE and CTF-Face-KS1. These maps have bad ratings. (But KS1 has Super Mario pipes you can use to go to the other base). My point, advertisement, and this map is less than ok. Formula. Map < O.K.

This map contains some good things, but I think, you should work for more best brushes There's something called a 2d shape editor, That reallly practice, okay that's it

A Lot better then most guy's first-time maps. I did like how there were Medboxes on the wall and the Ammo was stacked in piles and not always upright... good signs there.
Still, could do a lot better. But that's for next map. ;)

As for shunken: try to make less straightlined shapes, and pick better coronas.
| Vexate 11-16-2003 12:21 AM MST | Rating: 2 | | pretty lame map. very simple brushes, mostly cubes. ctf-face's skybox. none of the light sources are unlit, so they dont look like light sources. there arent very many light sources, but the map is very lit up.
