Overall construction is pretty solid, sounds were used very well. However, the water looks odd, there are way too many teleporters, and the lighting looks pretty unsourced in places. Didn't really always check if it was unsourced, but it kinda didn't feel right... e.g. green light by the bridge, or blue/purple glow in some teleporter caverns.
All in all: Technically solid map with questionable visual design and gameplay.
EDIT: Ok, the lights are sourced... but the jolly colorfulness is pretty unatmospheric and unrealistic IMO. Maybe use less saturated lights? (For UT2k3, that means higher saturation value in the lights...) And only ever use one light color with one type of light source... and experiment with limiting your palette :)

It's big, really big! 20 is a minimum I would say and then you have to go cruising. So it's not for close in fights. Nevertheless gameplay is involving. The map itself is well made with lots of interest for the eye and ear. It's not perfect, but it's a map I will spend some time in.
| Morphias 03-19-2003 10:27 PM MST | | Thnx guys,
Just a question, lighting, there is no place where there is no source for a light. Each place has either a tourch, teleporter, crystal, or bridge support which gives out light.
I have not placed any lights where there is no source for it. there is an overall low ambient light right across the map, this had to be done, or it would be very black in some spots.
As for teleporters, well it was my only solution for power ups and to get bots to navigate the whole map.
Nice replies, maybe I will shirnk my next map down in size a bit... Glad you liked it so far.

Lots of places to explore and lots of pickups which help the bots navigate the map very well and I love the addition of the teleporters, it gives the gameflow that little bit more excitement. Nice touch with the caves and bridges too. Some very nice scenery going on here, just goes to show you what can be achieved with outdoor maps.
