Visually the map is ok, not exactly compelling enough to be called average though. Imagine a castle environment made up of basic subtractions and additives that employ Shane Church textures, various photos of the map’s two stars, basic lighting, one really really really oversized and fugly ceiling texture as well as one of the more bland Unreal water surfaces. It actually looks better than a lot of these n00b maps that try so hard to pull off the castle theme and end up with these jumble of brown textured trash. I found this funny, considering this map is a gimmick map. As for theme, this does get the Prophet’s Gheyest Theme of the Month award. In addition, this map should get an award for having the most pictures of two of the Music Industry’s most Ambiguous Posers in one structured display. Gamplay is not very interesting, take the high road or the low road to the enemy base. The flag rooms allow for multiple defense spots, but then again who is gonna care if some dude steals your blue flag with Avril’s face on it? The ways to and from bases are pretty linear with one straight path. That gets boring fast, especially if you’re used to complicated routes. The lower passage is slowed by water that may be a bit too deep, you have to swim through it. This may have been intentional, but forcing an escaping player to swim isn’t always the most popular decision. But hey, some people like to swim in CTF, these are the kind of people who constantly mail me about how awesome CTF-Niven is that I am so dead wrong about that map and that I like anal sex with farm animals. You know, stupid people. Bots don’t play too good, if they ever got my flag, they never got far before they were iced. If the Prophet’s lackluster posse of bots can save the day, chances are the map is not very innovative. Isn’t quite up to the standard. The Prophet’s Verdict: Unless you think Britney’s bland ‘whore of the moment’ lyrical satire is fun, yet ironic because she stresses so strongly how good and virginal she is, OR unless if you find Avril’s wannabe punk setup which reeks of money and trendy projections of ‘attitude’ and decoy rocker hardass propaganda somewhat cool and hip….well then this map is for you! As for the rest of us who don’t give a flying fruck about Britney or Avril and just wanna play some maps which may be more inventive then this one, well there are better choices out there to get your blood flowing. PS: The Prophet thinks that Avril, despite how frail and un-intimidating she really is, could probably kick Britney’s fluffy skank ass. Prophet also thinks that once Avril had killed Britney with hours of inferior rock music, she would go lesbo on the pop princess’s corpse. I mean hey, she IS filthy enough to do that to a corpse. PS Continued: To the people I offended about that Niven comment, I don’t care. Neither do real UT CTF fans, so go play Niven and stay away from the rest of us who actually appreciate good maps.

Pseudo-gothic theme executed horribly, bright ambient light everywhere and ugly geometry which is also rather boxy. Carpet textures on the ceiling O_o And a Starship or DecayedS door/crate texture on a part of the wall which looks like a locked door. Oh, and a bunch of low quality pictures of Avril Lavigne and Britney Spears. This map sucks, don't download it. Then you could have had a sign above a nightclub that said Avril vs Britney. Or a spoof map with statues of the two music stars fighting. I don't hate either woman, but I do hate bands like the backstreet boys. If I saw a UT map with backstreet boys in it then I woud go absolutely crazy and start playing Quake3. CTf-Niven is a pain in the ass to play, but try it with 32 bots for a laugh.
