A medium sized industrial DM. Visuals are ok. No custom meshes or textures, but the prefabs are used ok, lots of pipes. All meshes seem to flow ok and look like they belong to eachother, for as far as you can fullfill those aspects with using prefabs. Lightning is pretty washed out and white, it doesnt add much to the map with graphics or atmosphere or other things. Some more contrast and color would have been nice. Also Im lacking shadows at times, some projectors under those fans, and a better shadow coming from those windows would live it up a lot more for example The thing I have the biggest problem with in this map are the textures. The meshes got way to many different textures, the map really lacks a unity feeling cause of this. Too many textures, it doesnt feel nor look like they all belong to eachother, and that its 1 building, and 1 structure. A theme like this gets pretty old by now but its ok executed in this map. The pipes and machines seem more logical here then in other maps, and there are also some nice touches such as the icicles on a pipe and some particles. A few more typical factory details would live up the theme some more though such as some tools, better fitting controls panels, barrels, etc... And some more sounds so you get more the feeling you really are in an enviroment instead of a game.
Gameplay and floorplan are good, its not outstanding, but its better then a lot of the retail maps. Though on a few places an extra elevator or way up would help. Also various jumptricks are possible, which is always cool, some doublejumps or dodges, are required to reach some areas or as a shortcut.
This map is good, but it lacks this little bit extra at times, and certainly the textures dont work for me. But the gameplay is nice and a lot of people will like it. |

The flow was great, there always seemed to be a weapon within a reasonable distance. I'd recommend this, it isn't particularly novel but it is fun.

If theres one criticism, its that I don't think theres enough ammo around. Add to that the fact that I couldn't hit sand if I fell off a camel, and you'll understand I found myself running around with an assault rifle some of the time.
