First thing you notice about this map is how small it is.It is crowded even with 3 vs 3, but with that said you still cant help but have fun. A standard mirror image CTF map, with standard meshes in the standard places, yup you guessed it!, a standard map.Three Entrances to each base , one on the Z plane which will stop too much flag camping. Architecture is pretty bland and the eyecandy is very limited on this level, as you run through it you cant help but feeling that something is missing (a Theme maybe?). Some Meshes are aligned absurdly bad in places makes you wonder whether the map was rushed out?, oh!!, and my pet hate as a level designer myself....IF THE ROOM IS RED....WHERE ARE THE BLOOMIN RED LIGHTS?. LIGHTS NEED LIGHT SOURCES. Bots work very well as you would expect from a map this small and the weapons placements are ok. The weapons themselves are quite well chosen for a small level with twists and turns, no ridiculous redeemers flying around :). Some of the BSP errors in the map effect the gameplay, but not noticably unless played on a relatively low spec machine. Nothing special, Not bad, too small to be a serious CTF map, but good for a bit of fun. P.s Will you stop putting strange fluids in maps that kill, and there is no way to get out once you have fallen in. Use your imagination. Fly my pretties FLY! |

| MortalPlague 01-22-2003 06:53 PM MST | | Thanks for the review. Yes, it was a bit of a quick map, definately one of my earlier ones, but like you said, good for a bit of fun. The servers out there seemed to need a couple of small maps... *shrug* I was under the impression all the lights had sources though... Maybe I'm wrong on that one.
