| SirTahngarth 01-14-2003 12:12 PM MST | Rating: 1 | | Sorry man, but you just have the wrong idea when it comes to DOM spawn locations. DOM is not a fixed red base-blue base game. you have the starts set up so each team starts right near a control point, making that one "theirs" and the other one almost impossible to get. Take a look at the stock DOM maps and the good custom ones (Mayan ruins, Extortion][, RoadRunner v2) and youll see that each team starts in a spawn area, an equal distance from both control points. It's ok to make one point harder than the other to keep, but the way you have it set up it just doesnt work because you have to fight off an endless barrage of players from the other team because they spawn just outside the room with the DOM points. I know you made this for DM and CTF as well, and let this be a lesson that you cant just replace flags with dom points and expect it to work, you have to reposistion the player starts as well.
-edit- also, replace your levelshots so the CTF flag base isnt being shown in the DOM version screenshots.
I like the layout of the map, but something more could be done in the middle, so players can spawn further away from the points.
