We've all seen over it CliffyB's site so its not new. I don't think its "0wnage" but still its fun especially for an organized TDM match.

A fun map, one of the better DM maps around and definately one of my favourites, but not deserving of "ownage". Cliffy's standards simply aren't what they used to be.

ShudderCreek is a largish, snow covered, winter terrain map with a slippery, frozen creek bisecting it across the middle. The map is fairly open yet still has decent cover. It's small enough for 1v1, yet big enough for TDM and FFA too. Framerates are acceptable.

The only real problem I have with this map is item placement. While item placement is generally ok, the placement of certain items makes the map unbalanced. In particular, the lighting gun, ammo for it and the 100 shield are placed extremely close to each other on the highest part of the map, complete with excellent cover, overlooking and dominating the entire map. There are also 2 easily grabbed health packs just below this allready great camping spot. Once a good sniper gets up there it is very difficult to take him out. In addition both flak and rockets can be found nearby in slightly lower, well protected positions, making an exceptionally strong (too strong IMO) holding area in TDM.

The position of the shock rifle, dead center in the lowest, most vulnerable spot on the entire map is also questionable, especially since it's the only weapon that stands much chance of taking out the sniper camping the lg/shield hill. This location would be better suited to a lone rocket launcher, the 100 shield, or even a Keg or damage amplifier.

There are 2 rocket launchers on the map and one each of other normal weapons except the biorifle. There is also an ion painter. Ammo counts are fine for lower player loads and even for higher player loads if weapon stay is on, but ammo is a bit on the scarce side for higher player loads with weapon stay off.

2 lightning guns or 2 shock rifles would be more appropriate than 2 rocket launchers on a map like this. The ion cannon is virtually useless against any half decent players, might as well make it a redeemer or better yet move it down a ways and replace with lg or shock.

This map is definitely 0wnage. It plays wonderfully like any 0wnage map should. This layout is great and the fragging is fast and furious even with bots. This map is a great example of what the retails maps should have been.

Downloaded this map months ago but it still gets its fair share of use. Weapon placement seems spot on and Hayden have reduced the armour and health pick ups to a far more reasonable level than on Reigncastor, his other ownage winning map. The bots do seem to stay up the "lightening gun" end of the map more often than not and they never go for the armour. Overall a very well designed and realised map, definitely worthy of ownage.

One of the better terrain maps, but still doesn't have any above average "ownage" qualities IMO. DM-Exhumed is slightly better.

This map could have been much better. Instead it felt very unfinished when it came out. It felt like he rushed it over a weekend. The whole graveyard look could have been taken to a much higher level, yet it sits on a plane of poorly made tombstones that hurt the level. I wish it looked like a real grave yard is all. gameplay is ok, but is very repetetive throughout the entire map. Not haydens best, I look forward to his next map though (whenever that may be)

A good and medium sized map it is a little better than Haydens Reigncaster but it could have been more detailed.
