Illuzions 3 is traditional arena map, like the many Morbias clones that have proceded it. The map is set in what I can only gather is a ship moving through a wormhole ( the wormhole skybox looks like it was taken directly from HyperBlast). The design, like most Morbias clones, is very basic with (gasp) 4 archways that are all in four corners of the map. Unlike most Morbias clones, there is no second floor to provide Z-axis, which is always pivotal in these kinds of maps. Instead of Z-axis there are two teleporter alcoves on opposite sides of the map that warp from side to side. I found this rather pointless with a large player load seeing as how many times I warped right into another enemie's line of fire, and one time between two dudes shooting rockets at each other. Of course, it could be said that this tele-jumping requires timing and precision to use, but I didn't find the map appealing enough to try.
There are crates, which can provide cover, but is cheap against bots. Two weapons appear in this flat, 1 floor map; the shockrifle and rocket launcher. The weapon choices are fine but the map just lacks that certain appeal. Visuals are dissapointing and if you're looking for a Morbias type arena map, there are better choices. This map may appeal to you if you: a) dont care about visuals as long as it plays fast, and this map certainly does b) don't like z-axis, or c) are desperate for yet another arena map.

The Prophet's Verdict: There are better Arena maps out there with much more mojo.

I think this map would be better if it was on a larger scale, it looks good although the flow is quite bad, i could see a player getting very peed off stuck in a corner, getting fragged each time they spawn.
BTW
Dude have you got some map factory going it seems they were all released the at the same time!
