A very basic map that needs a little TLC: The return routes for the flag are very limited, which actually could make this a difficult map if it weren’t for a very annoying bot bug. You feel like you’re in a circus watching the Trampoline Brothers perform their act. They get tied up on jump pads and stay there for the most part. This makes it very easy to get the flag and score a point. What’s worse is the fact that a bot with a flag will do this endless bouncing act and you have to stand there watching your potential point mocking you.
This pretty much relegates the map to online play, which limits its potential. If you do play online, you have a snipers perch at your disposal, an okay weapon layout, and a decent repository of health. Watch out for the nasty slime and expect quite a bit of mid-ranged battles. The first two shots are of bots bouncing their brains out. I think at one time I saw 4 bots bouncing at once. Maybe a world’s record.

| BeWilderBeest 12-29-2002 09:20 PM MST | Rating: 3 | | You might want to keep your ego in check, SolarImplosion, as this map is not as good as you seem to think it is. Layout is boring and lacks the kind of strategic play that a good CTF map should provide. Brushwork is poor, texturing bland, and 'bolt-on' architecture doesn't add much to the feeling of being in a real environment. Bots get hung up on the jump pads, but do well elsewhere due to the simplistic layout. Custom music is welcome but becomes repetitive after a while. You've still got a long way to go before you reach 'elite' mapper status, so don't get cocky, learn to take criticism, and understand that receiving a high score from a 'fan-boy' does not always mean you have a good map. Keep trying, I look forward to your future efforts.
