DM-Duality][ is a nifty little map set in somesort of warehouse something, suitable for either 1v1 or 2v2 battles, and I’ve enjoyed myself quite a lot while play-testing this map, because the gameplay is really nice, though does have a con. (But Ill get back to that later)
The architecture looks nice though nothing is particularly eye-catching. You have some nice views at the rest of the building and a nice skybox. Everything has for the most part been trimmed well and there were only a couple of texture misalignments. I’ve spotted only one BSP bug in-game which can be seen when standing at the sniper pickup place and facing a little to the left of the armor. Unfortunaly there’s already a dozen of maps like this made. The lighting is good, every light has it’s source and bla bla bla, but there could’ve been a little more variation in colour because it’s mostly whites and blues light, but it all looks OK so why make a big problem of it.
The part this map really comes to its right is gameplay. The flow is good, you’ll always have a minimum of 3 ways to choose and there aren’t any annoying long hallways. Items have been spaced out the right way and there’s enough health and armor to find. The bots play really well and should give you quite some resistance even in the lower difficulty grades. Though after a while, the map does get a bit boring.
There’s enough ambient sound to add some atmosphere, but nothing special here, and the music used is the default firebr song, which suits the map just fine.
Conclusion: Nothing much has done wrong here by Dark Element, but it just happens to be very average. Despite it’s overused theme you should still give this map a try.

I wouldnt go out of my way to play it but it was fun the first few times we used it. bots are good, textures are all alined, lots of z-axis fighting. But all of us here that played it at my last lan party got bored after not to long. there are a few BSP cuts but they are hard to find. I only found them with use of unrealed

Don't let the plain visuals block your view, though, because the gameplay is decent in x, y, and z. This map is the same type of layout as maps like Seraphim, only it's underdeveloped and too small. Verdict: a little above average.
