I was searching for a good looking screenshot for this review, but everywhere I turned, it was just blue. Blue, blue, blue. If there were no weapons or opponents in DM-Stack][, you'd think your monitor had gone on the fritz! Get a lighting tutorial, already.
DM-Stack][ is set in some sort of facility, only god knows what (perhaps a blueberry processing plant?) The layout is actually not too bad, and you can get into a bit of a flow here. There's a spiral staircase and an upper catwalk from which you can grab the Rocket Launcher. Frame rates are just fine, as things are very plain and, well, blue. Bot support is included, and is average.
What I Liked:
Some flow, layout and item placement were ok. Will not stress even a GF2 very much.
What I Didn't Like:
Lighting, item selection (no health?). It was difficult to evaluate textures, as everything's monochromatic blue...
Overall:
I'll pass on DM-Stack][. It just seems like yet another level that has some potential if it would only have been finished (lighting, etc.) prior to being released to the public. |

| Homeslice 12-30-2002 03:17 PM MST | Rating: 4 | | Blue IS my favorite color, but I've never liked that "Blue da ba dee" crap by Eiffel 65. Bleh.
| Bot40 12-30-2002 04:17 PM MST | Rating: 2 | | Maybe if it was a different type of 'blue' then it would be worth a 10/10 but as it stands. No.
