As mentioned below "why not stalwartXL2?". Too small and cramped at times with very little Z, as the original was, Stalwart][ is an example on how to stuff a low poly level with crates, uh... meshes. Unfortunately the placement can snag players as does the added geometry. Lighting is par without any of the UT2003 effects yet spiced with the "red lights" of German UT fame, sans the flares.

Item placement follows the original fairly well, however, the uber large Adreniline pill is odd when the U-Damage would of been the proper entre of choice (as in XL2). On the whole shows talent but not enough of the Bull-Dog in for repairs behind teeny windows. Pathing to the 8-Ball is neglected and the minigun is now a dead-end weapon only more so.

On the plus side, this map achieves what it set out. It's a playable Deathmatch with preview screenshots, properly zoned and adds a UT2003 taste. On the downside, the flow is clogged more than its name-sake which when chewed had very little flavor of its own. While not to everyone's pallet, worthy of a second helping just to keep regular.

I love this it really plays like the original Stalwart. The author should make a StalwartXL][ instead :D

Why oh why did the author need to make a conversion of one of the worst maps for UT. The gameplay is totally bland and boring. No decent layout, Z-Axis etc. In this case, the more accurate the conversion, the worse the map :p

The level is ok, but to be honest I always hated how boring the layout of stalwart is. I hope the author carries on mapping though, as this is a fair attempt.

This was a great UT map for a free for all game. Especially if the instagib rifle was used.
A true hardcore deatmatch without gimmicks.

(A Stalwart conversion that looked liked it had been through an earthquake would be better for UT2003, so holes in the floor would lead to a series of underground tunnels, and holes in the walls would lead to an outdoor area.)
