| | File Name | dm-z_axis_blitz][.zip | Author | Eyuva | Gametype | UT Deathmatch | Date Added | 06-04-2001 | File Version | 1.00 | File Size | 2.84 mb | Player Count | 12-24 | Map Description | This was my favorite map created for multiple floors of rocket bombing action. Get the drop on someone in this level, with 5 floors of intense action.
The pure aim of this level was a mass FFA layout, no theme was intended, but I tried to get the place looking as nice as I could with the skills I had at the time.
This level was directly inspired by the times I played with 12+ people on Deck 16. | Review Rating | -- | User Rating | 8.5 | Overall Rating | -- |

| GOD__AM 11-17-2003 06:52 PM MST | Rating: 10 | | I came across this map looking for a dl link for a friend. I can't believe there are no comments, I guess it somehow got over looked. This is one of my all time favorite UT maps. It has pleanty of Z-Axis play as the name implys and is just an extremely fun map with 4 or more players. The music in this map is one of my favorites as it starts out kind of slow and just keeps building up intensifying the feeling you get playing, then it just stops dead in its tracks and begins to build slowly again leaving you with a very eerie feeling.
If you have never seen this map dl it now and give it a try. There are no real secrets in the map as everything is pretty much laid in a fasion that allows you to pick them up pretty easily, and there are no areas that hang you up or have visual distortions at all.
This map is at least 3 and a half years old and still holds up to many of todays highly rated maps IMO.
I give it a 10 not because I think the map is perfect but for the fun I have had playing it. It's a definate keeper.

This map is actually quite exhilirating to play, lots of leap frogging action and getting the drop on someone.
| Lord Kafer 10-17-2005 03:30 PM MDT | Rating: 6 | | Not bad. It definitely has plenty of z-axis but it is a very bland level both architecturally and detail wise. The textures are industrial tech/urban, but there is no real theme and no sense of what sort of structure you're in. It's very fun to play, at least for awhile but not long enough to really memorize the layout (there are no really distinctive landmarks).
I give it a 7 but -1 for the lack of proper screenshot and that stupid trash can I keep getting hung up on.
