Reviewer Luquado Overall Score:  2/10 Date NC2 06-11-2000 Ugly, poorly designed bloodbath. Either I'm missing every texture this author used or this author released a map way before he was ready for prime time. Honestly. I hate to be a jerk about it but I deleted the map off my hard drive right after I took my notes for this review. While a lot can be said for, "Well, he had the courage to submit a map after all!" that's not going to be said at Nali City, for crying out loud. Playtest, playtest, playtest. What's with the green? No skybox? Am I missing something? Why only one TINY entrance to the flag areas? Why make the flag areas the way they are? I'm not going to describe the map in detail, suffice it to say the flag rooms turn into bloodbaths. You've got jumpboots in this level to get you to the spiral staircase, but I was too impatient to actually sit around trying to JUST BARELY make it, so I gave up. Bots do OK; I felt sorry for them. Textures are drab and hideous. Playability scored a nearly perfect 10 - no skybox to slow things down, WOO-HOO! Some people have said that this map is "fun" and "intense." Look, a single box room with 2 flags could be "fun" and "intense," and for all intents and purposes, this map doesn't expound on that concept at all. I'm not knocking whoever the author is. Please, continue mapping. I'm just warning all of you out there in cyberspace that this isn't, by any stretch, the best map offering currently out there. Good luck to the author in future works, whoever it was.
