*) Info:
A 2.16 MB download for 8-12 players. (Can easily handle a few more, though)
*) General:
A map with the theme of Good versus Evil. Red side being Hell and Blue being Heaven. In both of these "realms" you have three teleporters that take you to "Earth", which works as a way-station between them.
This is a map with what I'd like to call "subliminal symmetry", much like on CTF-Eternal Caves. Interresting that.
*) Worst:
This map has a single fundamental problem. If you come back into Hell via one of the two narrow diagonal ledges looking at Red Base, the polys leap into the 400s briefly, lagging the game down considerably on low-end systems, and leading thus to players dropping down from that ledge accidentaly. Especially when you're being chased by enemy bots, and get a bit hectic that tends to happen.
*) Bad:
Item placement didn't exactly strike me as intelligent.
Also: Zoning should have been taken greater care of. Some of the zones' location strings aren't overly helpful. ("Hell" being one such zone, and that can mean virtually everything down there... Not good, if you wanna know where exactly the flag stealer is.)
*) Good:
Quite something for the eyes, this map. :)
Very nice texturing on Earth, liked the vault near the lower screenie's graveyard. There also is fog at the right places.
*) Best:
The thematic execution is very good! Music is appropriately chosen, ambient sounds fit to the three different "realms". All combined creating thrilling atmosphere.
*) Summary:
A map whose technical execution unfortunately doesn't even come near the high class of its thematic execution.
Still worth to be checked out, especially if you can warm to that "religious" setting.
