| NeoNite 09-27-2004 04:44 PM MDT | Rating: 5 | | This map is (kind of) quite unique. At first I figured it would have been another one of those "land of the giant maps" but the second I saw the screenshots I was intrigued (downloaded this from another site).
Ctf in a suburbian (?) neighborhood. It's almost evening. I like the texturing, the lighting is ok. The map theme works, but.. but and here's the killer.
Gameplay :-/ Inside the houses it's too cramped to move (I imagine if you'd switch to 90% gamespeed and no aircontrol it would be doable, but who'd want to play with those boring settings...)
The bots seem to be extremily predictable. There are several ways to enter the house, but they usually use the front door. Sometimes they take one of the side entrances, but.. hardly really.
Defending is a piece of cake. Attacking on the other hand... Once you manage to get the flag and make it outside, you're in the open. It takes some teamwork to capture a flag, and in botgames this could lead to serious nailbiting.
Frags are many, captures are few. Looks are decent, but true gameplay,flow lacks.
