DM-Smoking is smokin'! It's a fast map designed for 2 or 3, has some elements that many consider essential for good gameplay, and doesn't look bad, either.
If you play with the recommended player count, you'll probably be disappointed unless you bump up your bot difficulty a ways. Instead, I just added a couple more for a total of 4, plus me. This was about right to keep the heart rate up, and it made better use of the health. There is some z-axis on this smallish map, and plenty of pillars to duck behind. The bottom floor has raised areas that give you a roller coaster effect as you run across them. This also adds some dimension to the map since you can use them to your advantage. Ramps and elevators are placed in this building, and the jumps from above aren't far enough to bang up your knees.
I spotted a little texture misalignment, but it was hard to find. The map looks pretty good even though I'm not a big fan of the modern panel stuff. The place looks slightly like Deck16, but without the slime.
If you play with 2 bots, you'll probably find the map unchallenging, i.e., too much health. Play with 4, and it's a different story. They put up a good fight, going for the centralized shieldbelt, and running all over the terrain. A rocket launcher, shock rifle, and minigun are there to asssit you, and just a little ammo.
The lighting was done well. There are quite a few colored lights, and they aren't overwhelming. There are many sources helping to set the mood. Want more? There are some ambient sounds and some music to get your feet kicking.
