| Mxtrmntr 02-19-2003 08:34 AM MST | Rating: 1 | | i suppose there already is an incredible amount of this kind of maps (wide open desert-ish space) for UT2k3, because it's quite easy to make terrain for it that doesn't look completely ugly; for UT, it's different, and so DM-Sanddunes is a bit of a novelty map. unfortunately, it's not exactly a good novelty map... the terrain looks incredibly dull, the lighting is uninteresting, texturing isn't worth mentioning either. as the map is quite open, only with some sanddunes in between, the gameplay tends towards the way maps like Thorns etc play, and in the end, it all gets a bit spammy, or random... also, a note to the author: even if those aren't the most important aspects of a map for quite a lot of people, forgetting to add a screenshot and music to the map makes a map look rather unprofessional; you might want to add those the next time.
