| Sir Xavius 03-22-2006 05:40 PM MST | Rating: 5.5 | | Interesting layout, altho the theme is strained and the visuals only lacking a little.
The huge doors, the staired towers, the huge indoor chambers give you places to go, but there's no "story" or even a realistic feel to it all. IOW, the place feels artificial and not historic.
The gameplay tho is much better — decent flow, plenty of ammo, risk-and-reward for the goodies. I have no complaints for these. But the game flow, while not bad, seems strained and uneven. Enemy bots will jump and land right behind you if you're on a lower level, and going up to the top doesn't provide a substantial advantage. As far as the "fun factor:" average at best, tedious at worst. So the way i make this map fun is to use the Volatile Ammo and NOMAD rockets mutators. Then i can stake claim on my chosen territory and let my enemies come to me!
