| Sir Xavius 03-22-2006 05:22 PM MST | Rating: 6.5 | | I took a chance on an unrated map and was pleasantly surprised at this gem.
The good folks at Liandri have found a multi-story but compact parking garage in an isolated part of a megalopolis and given us frag happiness for 4-12 players. Decent weapon placement, good dark-light contrasting areas, a little tight, a little open, and good bot navigation. The placement of the goodies are well thought-out and require skill and risk.
The only criticisms i have is the wire-frame stairs that connect the garage floors (that's okay, that elevator provides better gameplay), and the SMALLNESS of the layout. When i think parking garage i see expansive floors full of striped spaces and maybe a few vehicles. But that's for another map.
On the other hand, i like that i can penetrate a few rooms in the surrounding buildings. But any city map should be loaded with secret or hidden entrances (IMO). Oh, yeah: the place actually looks good, the "PARKING" sign, the elevator lighting, and the entry barricades.
It's definitely staying in my Small Map and Medium Map rotations. Also works well with the Volatile Ammo and UWAR mutators.
