This is another of the "me tiny" maps that seem to crop up from time to time. This one is done better than most I've seen. It's a recreation of a few places in Tom Browett's house; Tom being the author of this map.
I like this one. It's not perfect by any means, but the geometry is done rather well. Your playing field is two rooms: One being a computer room and one being a living room. In addition, there is a set of steps that take you upstairs to the hallway. The upstairs doors are closed, so you just fight in the hallway and around the steps, and closed doors downstairs keep you confined to the other two rooms. The computer stuff, TV, chairs, and dresser all look pretty believable. The windows, doors, trim, and baseboards look okay as well. The gravity seems to have been lowered just a bit, so falls won't do you in. Teleports and jumpboots allow you to explore different places, including walking along the tops or doors, and along the trim on the walls.
The bots need a little work on this 5+ player creation. I would see one up above the action on some trim and it would run out of ammo, and threaten the air with an impact hammer. They also seem to avoid parts of the map, not going for certain powerups, etc. They still put up a good fight, so it's not a total loss.
The lighting came through the windows and a skylight. You're supposed to be able to shoot a light switch and turn the lights on, but I didn't notice any difference when the switch flipped. I just turned my brightness up somewhat. You can hear some music and a computer as you come close to the giant PC. |

Like the above comment yes you should make another version that has more of the house. Make EVERY room in your house, and put in every detail :) like if you shoot the handle on the fridge, make it open up and reveal the rotten sandwiches and the eggs and stuff inside. if you open the oven, a burnt pizza awaits. and if your into it, if you shoot the little dresser handle on the cainet in the back of the parent's room, you can find a fully defined porno book, with 50 pages of the stuff :D ... umm no dont do the porno thing unless there really is one there... anyway yea try to make the whole yard an such, with all teh holes and pipes and the lot. preferably make it possible to go outside, and when doing things like blankets and such make it so that the folds and wrinkles are *actually* visible, and are actual environment so you can hide under them and such.
Yes i am asking to much :)
