This is a gothic, sleep with one eye open, you're starting to creep me out map. Vampire pictures, a cemetery, evil, scary stuff here and there: The map is not poly friendly. They go over 400 in the cemetery, and are high in other areas. Mirrored floors and long views also pull enough power out of your CPU to make you want an upgrade. Either the author has a very fast system, or he just loves lag. Bots seem to battle it up, and the items are good. But what makes the map are the textures. If default textures were placed on the walls, we would be sleeping in our soup, but the application of fresh texturing keeps your interest. The rooms are mostly boxy, but some columns and other tidbits add eye candy for your delight.


Here's the deal: The Nali City review schema is geared more toward everyone, slow and fast systems, so we have to think of the little guy. The score is going to be rather low because of the polys (lag), but if you have a newer system and can handle the visuals, maybe add some points to the overall score.

Qualthwars reviews are always right on the nose, So i am giving my map what he gave it :) I usually dont comment on my own map. I wanted to add a couple of things. I do have a pretty fast system and this map runs very smooth on, but If you have an older processor or graphics card this one might be a beast for you,This map is mainly a display of some texture sets I made, so if you are a mapper and want some new textures to use, this map comes with some "castle" theme type of textures,You might want to get it just for the textures. if you like them, you can rip them out and do what you want with them. -The Hillgiant

U keep saying that maps with a high poly gives shittie score, well comeone us Die hard ut fans which actually download maps from this page and us time on it, we all have the hardware to it. A standard computer today can handle pretty high polycount, the troubs start when it gets on the net, but stop giving low score for the poly's i don't think that is right. Just look at Ut underground which says that we need "MORE EYECANDY" = higher polycount, because the most of us CAN take it. I have a shittie bastard low hardware comp , at least thats what i think but i can handle poly to above 300>>. pls think about the long poem i wrote :0)

Love the gfx, but this map is a bit dull, cos of all the areas are too big and wide. Nevertheless its in the maps folder since its release and prolly will remain in my playlist, til i stop playin UT (which will not happen in a hurry).
The shiny floors are very nice and the artwork on the walls too. The 8 i gave as a rating is for the gfx only.
