DM-KittyNipDreams by Who knows? Who cares?
AWE: 1.0 BUILD: 1.5 CAST: 0.5
ADRENALINE RATING: 1/5 RECOMMENDED NUMBER OF PLAYERS: 12-16
SAPPER: Forget our last map review. Forget bizzare. Let's move on to absolutely sickening. GNOME: Before we begin, let us first inform you that because of certain elements of the map that have spectators stuck to the roof, we didn't feel it necessary to make more than one screenshot. I'm guessing maybe that's why the author choice to substitute the unusual cat and dogs photo instead. SAPPER: Right. Simply put, you do NOT want to play this map. Take our word for it.
THE STORY GNOME: Imagine my voice as a deep almost movie trailer monologue type of voice. Ahem. In a world...where Weird Al Yankovic rules with a magic scepter in one hand and a roll of toilet paper in another. In a place...where everything you thought you knew is wrong. In a time...when refusing drugs and alcohol is a capital crime. Warner Bros. Pictures would like to forget they ever endorsed: Kitty Nip Dreams.
THE AWE FACTOR GNOME: Well...where to begin? SAPPER: We have no comment. GNOME: We have no comment? SAPPER: We have no comment. GNOME: Okay...we have no comment.
THE BUILD GNOME: ... SAPPER: Don't look at me. I'm saving all my cursories for the end. GNOME: I'm not really sure how to describe this map. It is an incredibly long rusted steel warehouse with a tree in the middle. It is built in the realm where the laws of physics do not apply. But there is plenty of sound. The best part of this map is wandering around listening to all the interesting sounds the author felt necessary to put in. Most of these sound can be heard at either end of the map or in the middle. SAPPER: I like the morbid music track included. For all the mappers out there, it might be worth the download just to get the Dusk.umx music track.
THE CAST SAPPER: Drugs like marajuana and cocaine may have you feeling antsy, but injesting catnip will have you and your body parts jumping up and down. For whatever reason, the coding behind this map has weapons, armor, weapon blasts and bodyparts jumping up and down endlessly. GNOME: Flow is non-existent because after a minute or two you'll get sick and stop playing. Some reasons why? You'll find yourself wasting ammo shooting at jumping pickups that you can't kill. You'll be looking around in your pack for a flashlight while someone else comes up and kills you. You'll start thinking you're in a dream and start knocking your head against a wall trying to wake up.
OVERALL GNOME: I don't think there's any more to be said. SAPPER: It used to be fun making fun of like this. |
