Long periods of boredom accented by moments of surprise. I guess that best describes this map. I found myself, more often than not, roaming the hallways and rooms with nothing more than a pistol. That’s not to say there aren’t “chunky” weapons available, but you have to do some running to get to them. A hidden spot on the map will reward you with riches in the form of power-ups and super weapons; perhaps a bit too much.
The texturing is mostly bland, and the geometry could use some creative accents to make the place feel less boring. One good thing is the poly count is low, so it should play fast for you. It’s geared for about 4-8 players.
I suppose the highlight of the map was the bot performance. They do pretty well, but I did notice a broken path to the amp/invisibility, which prevented them from taking a swim to get the stuff. Not much in the way of sound, but you do have music. The lighting was mainly there so you could see where you were going. It’s a newbie map, but it’s not a real bad one considering. There are quite a few places to roam around in and there’s some z-axis, so have at it.
