Rather butt ugly, and fun to play. That sums this one up quickly. The map isn't necessarily gaudy, but the textures are very basic. There are some custom textures, but you're going to see a lot of base everywhere you go. At least the lighting is pretty good, which helps to take the edge off. I like the map because of the gameplay. There is quite a bit to do, which is usually a good thing. Lots of z-axis, color-coded sections, very good framerates, plenty of geometry to use to your advantage, and the flow is there. The only trouble that I noticed with bots was their inability to hook up with the amp. You have to jump up into a little cubbyhole to get it, and they can't quite get the hang of it. They do, however, make the same jump for the belt successfully on the opposite side of the map. There is a centralized lift, health is mostly in one area, which makes things interesting, and a glow just over the mountain range lighting up a starry sky. I used a player count of eleven and the map was smokin'! |
