| DiFool 01-26-2003 12:24 AM MST | Rating: 6 | | A concept map more than anything-the map is endless in the up-down direction, so you (or bots, or weapons) can basically fall forever, when you reach the "bottom" (wherever that is), you'll somehow get transported back to the "top"-it is hilarious to see bots falling past you, over and over. Gameplay wise it isn't much shakes-the level design is repetitive and disorienting (having floor numbers on each level would definitely help).
| Stakhanov 01-26-2003 07:19 AM MST | Rating: 4 | | This "concept" map could have been much better (experimental maps CAN have a good lighting and architecture !) , not enough weapons , ammo and items(lazy mapper just put 3 ammo next to each weapon) and confusing layout. Different textures for each level would have helped indeed. Flag chases can be fun in MP games , yet players lose health too fast by cratering from deck to deck (not enough health packs in the map) This map is a sniper paradise , too. The good thing in this fractal warpzone map is that you can't really fall forever , you'll crater on a deck's edge eventually. As always though , projectiles fly around the map until they reach they're timed out (about 1.5 * map vertical lenght) allowing for wacky combos and the like. Shooting your xloc beacon somewhere will likely teleport you at a random place (few zones when it falls endlessly)
So this map needs : -better lighting&texturing -better weapon, ammo&item placement(including jumpboots&health items) -enhanced connectivity(not too bad , 1 or 2 teleporters would speed up the gameplay , as well as lifts ; more alternate paths in middle zone) -more sounds , the map is still too silent -music track ? (none given , I'd say firebr , wheels or course , at best GatewayII or Unreal4 if you have them)

Unless the game you're playing is screwing CTF and jumping down a never ending hole with and trying to shoot yourself or offering yourself as target practice. And it gets old quick. It'd be better as a DM map where all you do is fall, and you can pick up weapons and make your way, falling through side tunnels
