Just as the name suggests, this is a map with a (yet another) gothic look to it. Ý Even though this map looks to be built from scratch, I couldn't help but think that the concept is the farthest thing from originality, aside from the paintings that involve some new textures. ÝThe choice of music, IMO, is way over-used in user-made maps, (can't think of the name off the top of my head) but this is purely asthetic so I guess I can't nail anyone down for that...d@mn, unless it was something like The Entertainer...that would be different...and corny...in fact I used it in a Doom level a long time ago just to be stupid...anyway...
The layout, in general, is too symetrical and simple, with a couple long halls that turn out to be dead-ends unless you have the anit-grav boots. ÝThe geometry is nothing that'll amaze you, but, like most gothic maps I've seen, the textures are 'busy' and make it look more complex than it actually is.
Bots were able to find their way around, as the layout is quite simple, and they have a field day with very open surroundings since they can hit a dime flipping through the air a mile away. ÝWarchild and Mysticdwagon suggest 3 - 10 bots, and can fit comfortably, though, like I said, you will get plugged by a bot a mile down the hallway and not know where it's coming from.
I did like the curtains that are drawn open, and it's a cleanly built map, but other than that, this is another gothic map that has nothing really new to offer, but if you're fond of DM-Gothic, then give this one a shot.
