We have here an excellently themed Egyptian map. However, all of this architecture comes at a tune of 220 or even more polys in view during normal gameplay, often in the room pictured in the screenshot.
The level is set in an Egyptian building; perhaps it was meant to be two buildings, I'm not sure. There are several paths to each flag (though the bots did not use them all consistently), as well as killer "quicksand" below some of the narrow walkways. The way that some of these walkways are constructed makes falling off into the quicksand entirely too easy, especially if you're running away with the enemy flag while they shoot rockets at your feet. The upper passageways are tight, providing little room for dodging or other combat skills; two rockets or flak within such an enclosed area will toast anyone you're fighting.
Texturing is done well, with lots of sandstone brick, heiroglyphics, and more to help the egyptian theme along. The architecture, while well executed, comes at the expense of polygons. See the above comments about the scaling of some of the hallways as well.
The bots performed decently. Besides the aforementioned inconsistency in chosen paths, the red bots seemed to stomp on the blue bots; at least when I viewed them separately, they did. Item placement was also fairly well done; there seemed to be a good amount of health present and located well for a CTF map.
CTF-Amon is a map worth taking a look at if you've got an above-average system to play it on. You may find you take a liking to its classy egyptian styling. But although it's a decent map, it's not going into my full rotation, however, because of the shortcomings I mentioned.

| Teowulff | Rating: 5 | | A bit square room-in room-out map though very nice looking. Not recommended.
| DRT-Maverick | Rating: 8.5 | | Well, I thought it was a great map, not sure about anyone else, but it is wonderful, fun, and realistic, except for the slow killing quicksand, hehe. :D
| CARADOC | Rating: 7 | | 7 - I liked this map. Although it is fun with Low Gravity, the 2 redeemers (and other goodies) are too easily in reach of 1 player (grab a redeemer, jump to the center rooftop and fire, jump to the second redeemer, repeat...). Very nice layout.
| Deathwing | Rating: 7.5 | | I had a good lot of fun with this one. An above average Egyptian effort.

Loved the Flagroom.
