| Shinobi Ryu 10-08-2003 10:39 PM MDT | Rating: 9 | | Right the $%#@ on!! Me and my friends at school were playin' this map and it ruled! The map incorporates a lot of elements I just love. You attack the enemy by air, and now you can snipe an clear the way for your attacking team (and I'm the kind of guy who spends an hour just sniping people on AS-Bridge), and the layout is complex and still big. This map, in my opinion, is better than the stargated version, but THE BOTS STILL DON'T ATTACK THE ENEMY BASE. If it were possible to work out that problem, this map would be a 10. Best play for big LAN groups (It's what I did and it was a BLAST!!) but not too fun alone.
| Reciprocity 10-10-2003 01:34 PM MDT | Rating: 9 | | This map is sooo cool! It's "crappy computer" friendly and plays quite well. It's called Air Raid because the only way into the blue base is by air. This is a great twist to the traditional CTF maps where the maps are interlinked by a path or a cave of some sort. In this one, you have to board an spacecraft, shoot through the worm-hole or whatever that is and jump off the plane in to the enemy base. Brilliant. As the previous comment noted, the bots do not take this path so if your playing this offline, you'll be doing the capturing. However, if you play it online, you'll be in for an insane fun match of CTF!

Onto the main problem with this map, the bot's are retards, they cant attack and dont know how to take the bus, so they are confined to thier base. The bots also dont follow orders ata ll, if you tell a bot to Hold a certain position, you'll get "Roger, Red Leader!" then they'll stand thier for a bit before running off in the opposite direction...
Perhaps another version of this map is in order. one were the bots work and perhaps add a bridge or two linking the bases.
| sir 12-13-2004 04:36 AM MST | Rating: 3 | | LAN ONLY! this map is shockingly bad on single player as the bots have no paths mapped! they dont go and get the flag, they cant find their own flag, and i never even saw an opposing bot when i went to get the flag!
Other than that, it's a really cool idea! the teleporters are great and i love the idea of taking a ride on the ships to get to the other base. This is pretty much the same for AirRaid1 as well
