This is one unique map. It's an arena style map with some sort of anti-gravity altar. I must admit that it's very well done.
The architecture is very, very good. The altar is so hot, see for yourself in the pic. All the little details are there. Around the main area, there are plenty of dark room that are not very complex but very beautiful. The textures goes with the map, there great. Didn't saw any misaligned textures or flashing polygons. All the map is filled with rich and beautiful textures. The lighting is more than great, not too dark and not too bright either. It's well balanced. You'll have plenty of places to hide and lots place to be targeted easily.
The flow is good but it could have been better. You can only go in the main area and in 4 rooms that leads to the top of the altar. The bots did great, they used the altar often and they go in all the places of the map. The weak point of this map is the playability. Since it's got a big open area, the polycount goes extremely high and the performance goes way down. It's still playable but it gives you a small disavantage.
Besides one weak point, this map is really fun to play. Try it, it's worth the download.

| Sir Xavius 08-17-2005 12:34 PM MDT | | I agree with our reviewer: one open area with tight areas adjoining. Bots did well, but my only complaint is that it's a rather small map; not much to do, no secret areas, no map "plot" that can be derived. Still, it is fun for about 8 players.
