Reviewer QAPete Overall Score:  5/10 Date NC2 12-08-2000 Note: This is an old review, imported into our database. Marty put together a nice example of a small, fast-paced DM level here. Everything is fast, and I really did enjoy playing this in hardcore mode with five adept bots. The key to DM-Abomination is to move fast, strike fast, and keep moving fast. Stop, and die. Very aggressive gameplay. Layout is very good, with a a fast lift, tight hallways, ample opportunity to use all the weapons he's provided to your advantage, including some z-axis fun. If you've never gotten an Ultra Kill or better, you will likely want to play this level, as it gets quite crowded in a hurry, and you can easily take out three, four or five opponents with one or two quick shots. The rocket launcher's alt-fire is an excellent weapon in this map. Marty sez 2-4 players, but try it with as many as 8 for some real fun.

Nightmare Rating: 3   "If you've never gotten an Ultra Kill before, play this map." Uh sorry, if you've never gotten an Ultra Kill before, then you better either be a newbie, don't know how to use a Redeemer or just should not be playing UT. Ultra and M-M-M-M-Monster kills are earned not handed to you because a map is too small to accomodate more than 3 people. Don't take that as an insult Pete, it's just what I think. Anyway, the name is perfectly suited. DM-Abomination? It sure is! Ivan_Yavanoh Rating: 8.5   You go for more than 8 bots in here, and the walls will be covered in blood (for those of us fortunate enough to have a voodoo3). Way fun! Network play makes this real fun! This level in general is small, fun, and just well.....fun! I wish to see more like this. It is well worth the 10 second download! Lustmord Rating: 7   I like this one because my friends without the benefit of a superior rig (such as my own, heh heh) can play this one with no problems. Just keep the player count around 4 or 5.
