According to the author, this map is a contest winner. It is a pretty good map; nothing stellar, but not bad either. I'll start with the good stuff first: The visuals are pretty good, better in some places than in others. You have a nice variety when it comes to battle techniques: Long-ranged, shot-ranged, lots of z-axis, or flat stuff, jumping from spot to spot, open, winding stairs that make you feel like a sitting duck, it keeps you busy and thinking all the time, especially with 16 players. The item placement is pretty good, maybe too much health in spots if you play with less than a full crew. Some of the not so good stuff included some lag on slower systems around the spiral staircases if you're viewing it from a ways off. There's a sheildbelt crusher that rarely moves. It's just a matter of luck if a bot triggers it while you're going for the belt. This would be a different story if you play online. I'd say it's worth a download for sure, just to experience the variety in gameplay, and the visuals, which are good in much of the map.

For the author: Those winding stairs: If you would have made them ramps instead, that would have decreased your poly count quite a bit. At least you could have maybe chopped off the lower notches of the stairs to rid yourself of some polys if you just hate the way ramps look. It's not just the polys, it's a combination of them and the open space. I like the fighting variety; good job on that! |

| khwang | Rating: 5.5 | | Just push the button on the TV. You can sit there and watch the trap through the glass window. The trap closes VERY quickly, so you might think it doesn't work. You will hear a sound effect ("intruder detected") when you press the button, and you will see a message that you've killed So-and-so. If you play with 8-15 bots (and you aren't in cheat mode), you might get killed in the trap by a bot going for the health vials. But that's a random occurrence. I play-tested with Masterful bots, and they will get the Amp and Invisibility. Sorry about the stairs/polys.
| Frostblood | Rating: 7 | | This map won the contest as it has very good gameplay, which i always say is far more important than good visuals. I also liked the trap and bots were pretty nasty too. Not a classic but a very nice map, especially considering the restrictions of the contest
| Halo14 | Rating: 5 | | Good stuff
| Dark Star | Rating: 5 | | Despite the dumb name its not half bad...
| Sigy2001 | Rating: 5.5 | | It's ok, but I'm agreeing with Qualthwar, it's not finished. :( Very weird how the map runs
| Everyone | Rating: 10 | | I thought it was great fun. Visuals are exactly what Qualthwar said... not bad, but not catchy either. Gameplay is what counts... that made it great.
