| Armageddon_Man 06-06-2003 11:24 AM MDT | Rating: 7 | | Test this maps in the Tournament DarkMatch mode.
Add this lines to your botpack.int file in section [Public]: Object=(Name=Botpack.TDarkMatch,Class=Class,MetaClass=Botpack.TournamentGameInfo) Preferences=(Caption="TDarkMatch",Parent="Game Types",Class=Botpack.TDarkMatch,Immediate=True)
Unzip the files that contain the "DM-DK-" prefix and the ".unr" extension in your UnrealTournamentMaps folder. Now, rename these files: replace the "DM-DK-" prefix and change it to "TDK-" prefix.
Now, in UT, start a practice session and in the game type list select Tournament DarkMatch (or something else). Select one map and press Start.
Respect to these maps, maybe contains lots of unnecesary SearchLights, but these are good.
Note: This ONLY works in Unreal Tournament. You should keep the name of the files and don't edit any file if you got the first Unreal. ¡Ah, I forget! If you got the first Unreal, copy the "DKNightOp.unr" file in the Maps folder to your UnrealTournamentMaps, rename it as "TDK-NightOp.unr" and test it.

There's more to a map than lighting, and every single one of these four maps in the pack have written "noob" all over them, and over every single detail into the bargain.
CipherOptik shouldn't have stopped here, with only these four maps--but rather developed his or her skills by building more and better maps. Sorry.

Others are more than likely going to go for the 'get something to do it for you' option, but, as for these maps... well quite honestly they are terrible. I think they were originaly designed for the DarkMatch gametype for Unreal, which probably explains why they are so damn small and look pretty odd.
One thing to note is the maps are all based on a sort of 'tournamnet ring'. You're put into a small enclosure with hardly anything to use for cover and only a few of the basic weapons at hand. They are good with 2-4 players max. Anything above that and it gets rediculous. Since they are th eonly maps on the whole of nalicity as far as I can see that are for UT darkmatch it kind of restricts the flow... although its not hard to convert other maps to darkmatch maps. Simply load one in your UnrealED, remove all the lighting, rebuild it, save it as TDK-mapname.unr and play it.
