NoQuarter 01-08-2003 11:17 PM MST Rating: 9   This map is great, with both original gameplay and sexy looks. The two bases are asymmetrical, a feature most maps sadly don't have. The red base is situated IN a volcano, which can be seen on the exterior of the base, complete with lava flowing down its side. The blue base is set by a small-but-beautiful lake and has an underground river flowing by its spawn points. The exterior of the map is beautiful, replete with birds in the air, baby Nali cows on the ground, and *functioning* Nali healing fruit. The bases rise in stark contrast to the surrounding nature, a concept used widely in the original Unreal singleplayer campaign. This map has that original Unreal feel, in my opinion. It also has a nice secret that rewards the observant with spectacular fireworks and an invisibility powerup, but only if you can find it! Bot play is pretty good. They know how to capture the flag, and will lose you the game if you don't watch it! They utilize most areas of the map pretty well, though I did note that they keep mostly to the middle and Nali cow passages, which slightly irked me. They do, however, use their translocators to get to those har-to-reach spots, which endeared this map to me even more. Download for a good time.
