This map is SWIZZEET. Its good looks are bolstered by great gameplay, and made the stuff of wet dreams by the botplay. Good for either the single player or multi player, this map should be on your download list already! The map flows like a river, and has defendable but assaultable flag rooms. Sniper posts either inside or on top of buildings add to the carnage. Item placement is handled fairly well, and the architecture really conveys the spirit of a run-down neighborhood--just the kind of place this type fighting would occur. Botplay is a dream. They know where to go and how best to get there, and utilize all areas of the map to great effect. They capture the flag, and generally play just as well as humans. Plutonic is a master mapper, in case you don't know, and you should look for his work if you don't have it already. Download now if you haven't already.

D/ling DM-Urban_Terror at the moment.. Already had this map,didn't think it was a Plutonic Map. Nice,very nice Bot AI,got fragged many times,try Masterfull 9 Bots and U can have lotta ;) + ;(

I would just like to let everyone know that I have never given a map a 10 rating and I likely never will again. This map is as close to perfection as I have ever seen. My review will be up in a couple of days.
Plutonic...you are THE man! I shall hereto forthwith worship you as THE God of UT mapping.
{EDIT} @FraGnBraG - Thank you. Yes I always thought of user score as a personal rating measuring how much I like the map. For example, in a review setting, I would imagine that DM-Pyramid would rate around a 4.5 to a 6.0. However, and a user rating, I would give that one a 0.5 as I map that I absolutely cannot stand and will never ever play.

This map gets pretty boring pretty quickly. I'm waiting for a map with gameplay that totally blows me away before I give it a 10. This one didn't do that at all.
I also think the music selection is a poor one, and doesn't accurately depict an "urban uprising".

Trying the map out. Before that one thing: The readme says put the UTX file in the maps folder. Nothing serious.
After playing the map: the map looks good and the bots did ther job. The music is good but did not fit in the theme IMO

This is a really good map. Architecture and texturing is excellent and the theme was well executed. Urban maps tend to be more or less alike but this one has a different feel to it. It's small(ish) but there's still plenty of space to manoeuvre. I've only played it a couple of times [with bots] but I haven't spotted any bugs. My only (and very minor) complaint is that I dislike having spawn points close to the flag -- I find it annoying when you kill off a bunch of defenders only to run into them again 3 seconds later when you reach the enemy flag -- but that's no biggie. My favorite urban map remains Gangland][ though, but this one will definitely stay on my drive. Good work, Plutonic.
EDIT: Hah, I'm an idiot. I didn't even realise this was an old map until I read FraGnBraGs comment. :)

Nicely done, good city-theme, but imho a pretty lame gameplay, and lighting is also not perfect. All together a solid map, but I agree with koeckchen, NEVER a 10! Please, G&S, think about it once again before reviewing.

... keep in mind this map was made in 2001 - i agree there is no such thing as a 10, maybe theres a 9 or two somewhere in here but chances are good they were made also in the same period .. if plutonic were mapping in UT99 nowadays instead of making newer tech maps for epic, etc, they might look a bit better graphically but it's hard to top this one for "urban gameplay design" without things getting stupid - giving this 2001 map a 10 may seem dumb to some people but these user ratings are more of a measure of user satisfaction anyways so the 10 tells me G&S really likes this map, which is fine - it's a great map and a good model for urban gameplay made (long ago) by one of the most famous and respected Unreal mappers around (.) at the same time giving this map a 6 tells me the commenter either doesn't think much of this particular style of map (which is fine, to each his own) or can't appreciate this map the broader context of UT map history, where it ranks respectably higher, imo a solid SEVEN or possibly a 7.5 ...
unfortunately, if this work is to be regarded a 7 today (remember plutonic did all his artwork as well), then any maps made today that get awarded scores of 8 or more should really be given a 5 or 6 (because that's what they would have gotten in 2001) with all things being *relative* ... :) isn't opinion fun?

This map have some room for improvements
1 Blue's Sniper OP unable to fulfill a the duty of base protection ie short sniper respawnce time
2 Central sniper OP unable to have full view of red base primery and secandary entrence with out comperizeing the sniper's stealth
However Red team has very high advantage in both assault and defence.
Good job in this map I'm looking forward for you next map.

Another simple map from Plutonic that works. Bots play tough here and you don't have to worry about getting lost as is the case with some CTF maps. Just go get the flag and bring it back...if you can.
