Buh, the Framerate Beast strikes again, doing in yet another innocent and otherwise quite descent map.

The most striking feature on the map is the placement of the flags, within sight of each other, with a lava pit separating them. Theoreticaly you *may* be able to kick a translocator across with an impact hammer, but it's not a likely enough event to throw the map. You can to either side from the overhang above with the redeemer, and the author recommends disabling the translocator anyway, but I wouldn't worry about it too much. Surrounding the flags are the bases proper, which are fairly wide open, and perhaps a bit too ambitious, as framerates are very marginal.

A couple things bug me beyond the fps. Items feel a bit scarse to me, and I spent a good amount of post-respawn time looking for something to shoot with. I'd recommend leaving weapon stay on at least if you're going to play with a large group. The colored lights are well overcooked too, even for a CTF map.

If you've got a machine to handle it, CTF-stationBTS isn't too bad a map, and I like the concept of nearly adjacent flags. Give it a whirl, if you can.

You two are good examples of why this user review system falls so short so often.

2? 2.5? 5.5?? You n00bs wouldn't know a good ctf map if it kicked you in the balls.

Sure they would!

Well, at least they (and me) have balls to be kicked in the first place! (Sorry, couldn't resist!)

WTF is NC reviewing this map for??? It came out almost a year ago. Even so, a 5.5? Isn't this the review site that gives 8s and 9s to half the maps it reviews. bah... you want good CTF reviews you gotta go to the source. Check out MappeD ;)

This map was a huge hit at the lan parties. Try low-grav instagib, then you'll see what kinda fast and furious action you can get boosting teammates back and forth.

At one point our flag carrier (me) wasn't going to make the gap, so I shouted to my teammates and he dropped down the pit, getting below me as I slid down the incline at our flag base. He managed to shoot me back over the edge for a cap.

So round up some buddies and get a LAN going, then you'll see the hidden potential. We keep coming back for more every time we get together.

I agree with ol' skankey, this is one of THE BEST I have played, and other sites have given this map a 9.5, I mean EASY. This one is in my rotation.

Yep, not bad at all this one. Sort of reminded me of Orbital in some places. Only niggle I have, and it's a really small niggle, is that running the map by double-clicking it only makes it run in DM mode. Other than that, great job!
