This map is a mix of CTF-Face, DM-Phobos, and The Longest Yard of Quake III. The map appears somewhat simple at first, but as you play it, you'll get to appreciate the overall gameplay on this level.
The level comprises of four diagonal shaped platforms, placed in a square, floating in space. It's kind of hard to explain, so get it and find out. There are a lot of good places to snipe from, although it's not the best tactic for this level, unless you use the sniper rifle without the scope. Around the edge of the level, there's a walkway, with some very nice looking lights. The level itself is pretty small; six players can sometimes be too much.
The gameplay is extremely fast paced; a five capture game with six players over in less than five minutes. The bots play as well as any human, and make full use of every sniping opportunity they get. Architecture is very good, although it could have been improved upon in some of the indoor areas of the level. On the downside for this level, I found that if you jump off the level with the flag, you die, but the flag stays down there until it respawns. This means that you can be without two flags for around two minutes. Since the level is so fast paced, it's just like someone pressing a pause button; the gameplay slams to a halt. The skybox is very good though, and resembles the skybox of DM-Phobos. The texturing throughout this level is good, but some textures look out of place. Item placement is good, although an absence of the sniper rifle may of been a good idea, as well as the inclusion of some more powerups in high-risk areas. For instance, a shield belt in the centre of the level. The lighting is nothing less that exquisite, and provides an excellent backdrop to combat.
Overall, this is a very good, fast paced level that no one should be without. In spite of its failings, this level delivers a very entertaining game. If the author were to make a ][ version, I would encourage the author to expand on the layout, catering for larger scale games. There's nothing wrong with smaller CTF games, only this level is very openly constructed - making it easy to be attacked.
